NARRAGANSETT – Police arrested the school district’s director of finance, Christopher Mallett, on Wednesday, alleging he cut two checks payable to himself for a total of $51,000 earlier this month.

Kingston woman to choose insanity plea in theft cases
SOUTH KINGSTOWN — The woman accusing of breaking into homes in Kingston and stockpiling her heists in her Kingston and Matunuck homes will plead not guilty by reason of insanity. At her arraignment on Monday, her attorney also filed motions to suppress the warrant and to dismiss several charges in the case.
